Our team is small but we only recruit the best! All our coaches are fully insured with advanced DBS checks. Coach Jared
Scrum Kids CEO, Exeter
Jared oversees the programme at ScrumKids. His vision is to give every young person the opportunity to experience rugby and the priceless community culture that is associated with the game.
Jared started coaching in London with the Eton Manor RFC Junior section before relocating to Devon and working with Exeter Saracens RFC, where he has coached through the age groups and is now Head Coach for the Senior Ladies Side. He holds an RFU Level 2 Certificate and boasts Qualified Teacher Status with five years of primary teaching experience.
This season Jared has been invited to coach under the Exeter Chiefs umbrella with the Cornwall Developing Player Programme as well as the Devon County programme. His energetic and passionate delivery has inspired over a thousand children across the country and he has no plans to stop any time soon!

Coach Zoe
Coventry
Zoe is the Lead Coach for our Coventry branch. She boasts an impressive rugby coaching resume as well as playing to a high standard herself. Zoe spent 3 years working with the RFU as an England All Schools Coach and is currently working within the Wasps Community Coaching Team, where she has coached children of all ages; from two all the way through to eighteen.
Zoe has recently moved towards a career in education and is currently teaching at a Primary School. We are incredibly lucky to have somebody of her calibre delivering sessions to our fantastic kids.
She is a keen rugby player, and has been playing for the past seven years as a rapid, try scoring winger! You can find her at the Rugby Lionesses on a Sunday afternoon.

Coach Sam
West Midlands
Coach Sam is ScrumKids Royalty; having been involved with the company since its inception. He has more experience than any of our coaches and has built a reputation as an inspiring, outstanding educator.
Sam has worked in schools for the last seven years delivering the PE curriculum and entertaining children across the region. He holds a Level 2 RFU certificate and is a part of the Northampton Saints Community Coaching Team.
He has been an area manager for ScrumKids for the past seven years and loves to play at Scrum Half whenever he gets the chance to get on the pitch.

Coach Sam
South West
Sam is the Lead Coach for our Tiverton branch. He has worked in education for the last 5 years within sport and PE. Sam has worked within the Devon County setup and assisted with the Devon U15 boys selection process.
Sam currently plays for Cullompton RFC as a centre and fullback. During his time at Cullompton he has coached and managed the second team as well as achieving his RFU level 2 rugby coaching badge and the RFU level 2 refereeing qualification.
Sam has incredible energy and a brilliant way with the little ones, his passionate delivery has made our Tiverton sessions such a success.

Coach James
East Midlands
The legend that is Coach James is somewhat of a celebrity amongst his class’ parents, with regular glowing feedback about his outstanding delivery and natural rapport with his kids.
James has coached a number of different age groups at club level and still enjoys regular forays into the scrumtacular world of club rugby. He holds an RFU Level 2 certificate and has worked with some of the local developing player programmes.
A big Leicester Tigers fan he can often be found roaring down the terraces at Welford Road. You will struggle to find a more passionate, positive and inspiring coach and ScrumKids just wouldn’t be the same without him!

Coach Abbie
South West
Coach Abbie specialises in the delivery of our after-school provision. She has played at an exceptionally high level within the Exeter Chiefs Academy.
Currently, Abbie can be found be found captaining the newly formed Exeter Saracens RFC Womens Team and pushing inexperienced players to new heights. Her passion for the game has led her from playing U13's Girls rugby all the way through to coaching the U18's and beyond.
Coach Abbie is a fantastic role model for our children. Her love for the game is infectious and has led to a number of players joining club rugby in recent months. As a natural Fly Half, Abbie is the playmaker you want your children to be around.

Coach Lauren
South West
Lauren is part of the Exeter-based team. She has a wealth of experience working with children of all abilities and ages as a full time Learning Support Officer.
Coach Lauren plays in the second row at her club Exeter Saracens RFC and is know for her silky running style and positive attitude. She has a very caring nature and children find this incredibly comforting when feeling a little nervous about starting a new session in a new environment.
Lauren has a way of explaining games in a relaxing, light-hearted manner and this has such a wonderful effect on our classes. Her enthusiasm for rugby and belief in it's values are exactly the kind of attributes we look for in a great coach.

Coach Dan
Exeter
Coach Dan has been with ScrumKids for just over a year. As a qualified Personal Trainer and business owner, Dan has all the skills to engage children, and parents, with his fun and energetic sessions. When it comes to winning smiles, Dan has to be a record holder; we challenge you to go along and not come home beaming!
Dan’s session is held at Wonford Sports Centre on their fantastic 3G five-a-side pitch. In the case of extreme weather, we do have the option to jump inside their hall, but he does like to be outside wherever possible so come prepared for all weather! Trainers and clothes they are comfortable moving in are all that is required…and a smile of course!
